The boys and girls high school hockey teams both lost in the first round of playoffs Thursday, with the girls losing in overtime 3-2 to Pembroke and the boys losing 2-1 to Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School.

With the hockey team’s season not even at the halfway mark yet, the team has had a lot to celebrate as two players have now surpassed the 100-point mark.

The boys and girls high school hockey teams had their playoff runs cut down this weekend, with the girls team losing 3-0 to Algonquin on Saturday and the boys losing 6-3 to Ashland on Sunday. 

2023

Heart, grit and determination were on full display from the Vineyard boys hockey and basketball teams Sunday with both posting dominant home wins. Each will advance in tournament play and have off-island playoff games later this week.

The Vineyard boys hockey team will face Stoneham and the basketball team plays Norton.
