Tisbury and Oak Bluffs are beginning to talk across town lines about sharing some services, beginning with a building commissioner

The Tisbury building inspector has been cleared for work on the Martha’s Vineyard Museum project, following a written disclosure to the state ethics commission filed last week.

The West Tisbury selectmen have appointed a new building inspector. Joseph Tierney Jr., who is currently a local inspector for the town, is expected to succeed Ernie Mendenhall.
