The Martha's Vineyard Builders Association is calling for Island contractors to join a town hall meeting on Zoom Thursday at 5 p.m., according to an announcement from the association.

Island board of health members and building inspectors will report on the state of the Covid-19 spread and what can be done on the job site and at home to prevent transmission, according to the announcement. The association also will provide materials to help establish company policy, support workplace conversations and enforce best practices for virus prevention.

Titled Stronger Together, the meeting will be held in both Portuguese and English and the builders association is encouraging contractors to make attendance mandatory for supervisors, employees and subcontractors.
