John Tiernan has the talk of a salesman, the walk of a local and the passion and energy to dream big for Oak Bluffs, which is perhaps why the Dockside Inn has flourished since he bought it in 2012. “I have a vision that Oak Bluffs should be that grand seaside resort it once was, with welcoming arms,” he said.

Valentine Estabrook brings her solo show to the Dockside Inn on Saturday, July 20, from 4 to 7 p.m.. Her works include plein-air pastel and oil paintings of the Island landscape.
The Dockside Inn is located at 9 Circuit avenue extension in Oak Bluffs. Ms. Estabrook will provide a demonstration along with information about online and on-Island workshops.

The Dockside Inn in Oak Bluffs was named 2013 best harborfront hotel in New England by Yankee Magazine’s Travel Guide to New England. The magazine cited the hotel’s contemporary design and nautical decor. The Dockside Inn was previously named in Boston Magazine’s 2012 Best of Boston.
