Voters in Oak Bluffs will decide on a handful of funding questions at their annual town meeting Tuesday, with articles on projects ranging from repairs to the East Chop bulkhead to ongoing work to restore the health of Farm Pond.

2025

Oak Bluffs voters approved a nearly $43 million budget at annual town meeting Tuesday night, and joined West Tisbury and Edgartown in passing a leaf blower ban, but by a narrow margin.

Oak Bluffs voters will weigh in at town meeting next week on money for upgrades to the wastewater pump station, updating the town’s watercraft restrictions and a new drone to aid in emergency situations.

Voters at Oak Bluffs town meeting Tuesday passed spending articles for several large infrastructure projects but rejected a controversial zoning change that would have allowed some industrial uses in new parts of town.

Among the items voters will consider at the Oak Bluffs town meeting are paying for upgrades to the town’s wastewater and harbor infrastructure, and business-friendly zoning amendments.

The select board decided to not put articles to limit large parties, make the town clerk appointed and put funding towards Sailing Camp Park on the annual town meeting warrant.
