The Martha's Vineyard Land Bank Commission is no longer
actively negotiating with Corey Kupersmith for the possible purchase of
his property in the southern woodlands, but in a letter to the
Martha's Vineyard Commission this week, the executive director of
the land bank did not rule out the prospect of future talks.

The developers who want to build a luxury golf club in the southern woodlands section of Oak Bluffs aimed conflict of interest charges at five members of the Martha's Vineyard Commission last week, just days before a public hearing was due to open on a new plan for the golf club. The commission responded by announcing that it will delay the public hearing process until the charges are sorted out by the state ethics commission.

This time around, the gloves are coming off. That is the word that's been quietly circulated for the last several months by spokesmen for the Down Island Golf Club, as they prepared a new plan to build a private luxury golf club in the southern woodlands section of Oak Bluffs.
