The 90-year-old Tisbury School building has a skeleton of steel, town officials learned this week.
More than 40 people took part Tuesday in a community meeting with the architects and project manager for the Tisbury School’s upcoming renovation and addition.
Forging a new future for the Tisbury School building was the subject of a working session Monday night with school and town leaders at the table.
Inadequate conditions at the town school were on full display during a tour this week attended by a large group of town officials.
With the failed plan for a new school behind them, selectmen and school committee members took tentative steps to start over.
The selectmen and school committee will meet Tuesday to discuss how to start over with the school building project.
