The annual Water Tasting by the Sea benefit to raise money for Vineyard House takes place Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on a site overlooking Katama Bay.
Mark Jenkins, who has served as president of the board for 10 years, will step down at the end of January. He will be succeeded by Brian Mackey, a past director of the organization.
Founded in 1997, Vineyard House opened the doors to its new campus in Tisbury one year ago. The goal is to create an environment where people want to stay longer.
Vineyard House is offering food, music and a variety of waters for its annual water tasting fundraiser on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at the Captain Flanders House.
Some 75 people attended a ceremony and reception Sunday, exactly a year after the modular buildings that make up the campus arrived by barge on the Vineyard and seven months after the facility was officially opened.
Staff, supporters and others who had made the new campus possible, celebrated with a ribbon cutting Friday. Designed by Mashek MacLean and built by Squash Meadow Construction, it includes living spaces for men and women.
