Affordable housing took center stage in West Tisbury Tuesday night as voters completed their annual town meeting begun two weeks ago.
West Tisbury opened its town meeting with a tribute to Patrick Gregory. Getting down to business, voters approved a $16.9 million budget, with all but one of the 42 articles passing. Short of a quorum on the second night, the meeting was reconvened for next week.
With a town hall renovation project in tatters, unpaid bills stacked high and a legal expense account on empty, the question left hanging in West Tisbury yesterday was: What next?

Tuesday was annual town meeting day for Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, and West Tisbury. Voters came to The Old Whaling Church, The Martha's Vineyard Performing Arts Center, and The West Tisbury School gym to vote.
