West Tisbury residents will be asked Tuesday to vote on a variety of spending measures, including urgent repairs to the West Tisbury Public Library heating and ventilation system, and $415,000 in pay raises for town staff.

2025

West Tisbury voters gave the initial green light for a $1.6 million override and a $200,000 debt exclusion at the annual town meeting Tuesday. Both will also have to be approved at the town election on Thursday.

General overrides, school repairs and new bylaw language will all be decided at the West Tisbury annual town meeting next week.

2024

West Tisbury is now the first town on the Island to enact regulations around short-term rentals, though other towns have also started to consider the best way to handle the controversial properties. 

Short-term rental restrictions, a change in town energy policy and $1.8 million in library renovations all top the warrant for West Tisbury annual town meeting next week.

West Tisbury officials this week declined to take action on lowering the town meeting quorum and instead vowed to renew efforts to get voters out to the annual legislative gathering.
