The Sargent Gallery in Aquinnah is holding a reception for its August show called Bios Kentron. The show is up from August 5 through August 17, with an opening reception on Sunday, August 5 from to 8 p.m.
The Louisa Gould Gallery turns 15 on August 3, but gallery owner and Island artist Louisa Gould couldn’t wait to celebrate.
In March of 2003, Louisa Gould opened a 400-square-foot gallery on Beach Road to display her personal photography. During the course of 15 years, the gallery has moved to Main street in Vineyard Haven, grown fivefold, is open year-round, and displays the work of up to 50 artists on the Island.
On Saturday July 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. Oak Bluffs celebrates its first art stroll of the season.
The Sargent Gallery in Aquinnah opens its summer season on July 1 with a group show called Elementality. The show continues through July 22.
