Island artist Rez Williams, known for his paintings of the boats of New Bedford, has turned to exploring the woods and shorelines of Monhegan, Me.

New work by the Vineyard artist Lily Morris includes 10 large-scale oil paintings that depict scenes of contemporary life alongside constructed fantasies of fame and wealth.

Nature walks together led to A Studio Guide to Nature, a collaborative show by sisters Julia and Lucy Mitchell at A Gallery in Oak Bluffs. The show runs through August 17.

2015

Photographer Alessandra Petlin has spent 40 consecutive summers on Martha’s Vineyard at her family’s home on Wayside Farm in Chilmark. But this summer marks a first for the artist. She momentarily stepped out of her Vineyard routine Saturday night to celebrate her first gallery opening, ever.
