In the Treehouse With Enos Ray
Paintings by Enos Ray will be on exhibit from now through Labor Day at Treehouse Studios in West Tisbury. All are welcome to a reception on Sunday, August 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. David Corcoran will provide music during the reception as well as present his paintings. For details, call 508-693-6645. Art on North Water
North Water Gallery will open a show for Michael Frith and Ray Ellis with an artist reception on Thursday, August 12 from 5 to 7 p.m.
An internationally celebrated watercolorist, Michael Frith shares his passion for sailing and the beauty of the sea through his paintings. His book Yacht features his works paired with quotations and writings by several notable sailing enthusiasts.
Saltwater Gallery, in the rolling fields along Lambert’s Cove Road, presents artist Ashley Medowski’s new mixed media: Historic Island Landmarks.
Miss Medowski’s once-a-summer reception will be on Sunday, August 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. Celebrating the old Vineyard, Miss Medowski has painted what she calls “portraits” of favorite Island scenes including the Vanderhoop Homestead, Menemsha Market, and the Old Cranberry Bog in Lambert’s Cove.
Art Around Edgartown
The Eisenhauer Gallery’s final exhibition of the season, Inward and Windward, opens with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 12. It will be part of An Evening of Fine Art, the Edgartown gallery stroll.
The Eisenhauer reception will offer libations and music by Mike Benjamin to celebrate artistic work by Michel Brosseau, Heidi Palmer and Karen Tusinski.
