The legendary former owner of the topsail schooner Shenandoah will receive the prestigious Creative Living Award for 2020-2021, the Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation announced Wednesday.
After more than six decades of mostly behind-the-scenes work on behalf of the Island’s natural environment, Tess and Kib Bramhall stepped into the spotlight Wednesday evening to accept the Creative Living Award.
Kib Bramhall is a member of a rarefied fraternity, he embodies the Vineyard fishing culture he embraced when he arrived on the Island at age 12 in 1945.
