No Island institution has escaped the crushing effects of the coronavirus crisis, including the Steamship Authority.

It has been clear for some time that summer 2020 would be different, but the picture came into sharper focus this week with the announcement that the Agricultural Fair has been canceled.

The sun finally came out over the weekend, and so did more than a few unwary people, risking themselves and others.

If there is a thread of positivity in the grim shroud of the looming pandemic, it is the way the Island’s elected leaders have come together to deal with the coronavirus threat.

We wait for the inevitable arrival of the coronavirus like a slow-moving tidal wave, certain only that it will be terrible when it comes.
