The West Tisbury Farmers' Market returns Saturday for its 50th season. Going back to 1974, the market has offered farmers a place to sell their produce and learn valuable lessons from each other.
The Edgartown Village Market debuted Tuesday, featuring 20 vendors selling food and beverages, produce and flowers and goods from local artisans.
The market will be at the Dr. Daniel Fisher House on Tuesdays from the end of June through September.
Early on in the pandemic, farmers’ markets were declared essential business. Right away, planning began for a new West Tisbury Farmers’ Market.
The twice-a-week West Tisbury Farmers’ Market opens Saturday, relocated this year to the Agricultural Society fairgrounds. It will be a different event this year, with a hands-off policy for customers.
