The West Tisbury Farmers' Market returns Saturday for its 50th season. Going back to 1974, the market has offered farmers a place to sell their produce and learn valuable lessons from each other.
The Agricultural Society fairgrounds were abuzz on Saturday as West Tisbury Farmers’ Market vendors lined up their Toyota trucks and Subarus, knocked the dust off pop-up tents, and laid out folding tables with Island-grown goodies.
The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market will continue at the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society on Panhandle Road, following a unanimous vote by the town zoning board of appeals Thursday.
Despite a light morning rain, cheerful crowds headed to the Agricultural Hall grounds on Saturday morning for the first West Tisbury Farmers’ Market of the season.
