I felt sorry for any bride getting married this past Saturday with the rain, but they always say that if it rains on a bride it is good luck.

I am sitting here waiting for the rain to begin. We have had close calls of rain but it always seems to go over us or under us. I know I keep hoping but the ground is very dry and our plants need rain. On the other hand the temperatures are so nice. Not to hot and not a lot of humidity. This is the weather we can all enjoy.

We have had rain, humidity, sun, wind, the whole summer weather. This week it is going to be sun and heat.

I know that our summer visitors are probably not happy with the rain at the beginning of the week, but we are in great need of it.

The house next door to me is a rental. I don’t usually pay attention to what goes on because people are in and out, but the other morning I was going out and I noticed the windows were wide open.

We could not have had a better Fourth of July. We finally got a much needed rain. So who can complain?

The sun is shining, it has been relatively cool, all in all very nice — although we do need some rain once in awhile.

I for one am not going to complain about the weather this week. The sky has been that beautiful blue with the white fluffy clouds, the breeze has been just right and the heat not too hot. How lucky have we been to live in such a place we can really enjoy it.

Fog, heat and humidity are the weather of the week. I know in Edgartown we are sometimes the last to see the sun.

According to my calendar it is only June. However, I think someone forgot to tell the weather gods that heat waves are in July and August.
