Santa’s helpers have been hard at work preparing for the man in the red suit to make a pit stop at the CCC next Thursday, Dec. 19 to distribute the first gifts of Christmas.

We didn’t grow up on the same street or even in the same town. We didn’t run with the same crowd, but we did cross paths on regular intervals over the past couple of decades.

While scrolling through the PBS website looking for something that had been recommended to me, I came across the name Howard Thurman.

Sometimes it’s hard to weave together the uplifting with the sorrow.

I’m not sure why, but it’s been the week for fragmented and disjointed conversations.
