2019

The Food Equity Network is an informal coalition of volunteers, social service agencies, faith communities and other nonprofits working together since the fall of 2016.

A 13-ton in-vessel composter will help Island Grown Initiative compost three times as much food waste as it previously could. Getting the composter to the Island involved quite a journey.

The Island Grown Mobile Market made its winter debut Wednesday at Woodside Village. Demand was so high the locally grown produce and eggs were nearly gone an hour later.

2018

The Mobile Market makes its last stop of the season on Oct. 14, after a successful second season.

Nine Island nonprofit organizations selected for a program in nonprofit leadership from the Martha’s Vineyard Donors Collaborative.

If you’re hungry or lonesome on Martha’s Vineyard in the middle of a weekday, there’s a free, fresh meal and a warm welcome waiting.
