The Minnesingers packed more than a year of pent-up musical longing — by both the singers and their fans — into two hour-long shows that brimmed with optimism and joy at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.
The regional high school Minnesingers return to the stage with two live, in-person performances this weekend at the Tabernacle. Tickets for the spring show will be limited due to health restrictions.
At the performing arts center, there would have been standing ovations. Instead, applause came in the form of blaring car horns for the regional high school production of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.
Led by director Abigail Chandler, Minnesingers perform this weekend with a show titled American Mosaic; a musical journey that travels from the 1930s to present day.
When the Minnesingers walked on stage Sunday the audience applauded. When the red curtain rose, alumni of all ages took the stage.
