The seed library, a collaboration between the West Tisbury Library, IGS and the Farm Institute, hosted a seed saving workshop on Sunday where Islanders could learn how to process the seeds of beans, lettuce and tomatoes, as well as donate seeds from their own gardens.

An original rosewood Steinway & Sons baby grand piano from 1901, a gift from a group of private donors, will call the West Tisbury library home. A dedication concert is planned for Oct. 12.

Nine women artists who began getting together in 1998 as an offshoot of the Tom Maley Tuesday drawing group come together for Nine Women Artists: Fifteen Years.

Brooks Robards and Hermine Hull will visit the West Tisbury library on Tuesday, July 8 at 5 p.m. to talk about their new book, On Island, which features Ms. Robards’ poetry and Ms. Hull’s paintings.

The West Tisbury library and the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center are collaborating in presenting the inaugural Jonathan Revere Memorial Film Series with the 1939 classic The Women.
