The West Tisbury library and the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center are collaborating in presenting the inaugural Jonathan Revere Memorial Film Series with the 1939 classic The Women. The film is a comedy-drama with a long list of female stars portraying the glamorous life in Manhattan and the not as glamorous Reno, where the women obtain their divorces. It’s a commentary on pampered lives and power struggles. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the film begins at 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 11, at the film center at the Tisbury Marketplace in Vineyard Haven.
