CHILMARK CONSERVATION

COMMISSION

Will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 12:30PM, in the Conference Room at Town Hall, under the Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L.c.131, Section 40 and the Town’s Wetlands Protection By-law, on an application filed by Reid Silva of Vineyard Land Surveying & Engineering for The Town of Chilmark. The applicant would like to construct a bus turnaround, passenger pickup and parking area on the east side of Basin Road just north of the comfort station. The work is within a Bordering Vegetated Wetland and approximately 6,800 sq. ft. of Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage will be disturbed. The work is proposed for the property located at 51 Basin Road; Menemsha; Assessor’s Map 21 Lot 1. The application and plans are on file with the Conservation Commission, and may be examined during normal business hours (9-4:30) at the Town Offices. CHILMARK ZONING BOARD

OF APPEALS

There will be a public hearing on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 4:25PM at the Chilmark Town Hall meeting room to act on a petition for a Special Permit under Chilmark’s Zoning By-Law Article 4 Section 4.2A3 filed by Reid Silva of Vineyard Land Surveying & Engineering for 3SDS, LLC c/o S. Fain Hackney, Trustee. The applicant seeks permission to construct a heated, built-in pool that is approximately 20’ X 60’ with a deck and four-foot high pool enclosure. The pool equipment will be located in an underground vault. The existing solar array will offset the power used by the pool heater and equipment. A Special Permit was issued for this project on October 20, 2015 which has expired. The specifications for this project are the same as the previously permitted pool. There will be a public hearing Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 4:35PM at the Chilmark Town Hall meeting room to act on a petition for a Special Permit under Chilmark’s Zoning By-Law Article 8 Section 8.3 filed by Reid Silva of Vineyard Land Surveying & Engineering for the Town of Chilmark Community Center. The applicant seeks permission to alter and expand a pre-existing, non-conforming tennis shed located in the South Road Roadside District. The current building is 24 feet from the northeast lot line. The reconstructed building and porch will be the same distance from the northeast lot line. The project is for the property located at 520 South Road; Assessors’ Map 30 Lot 93.
