TOWN OF OAK BLUFFS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Town of Oak Bluffs invites sealed bids from General Contractors for construction of Oak Bluffs Streetscape Improvements North Bluff, at the intersection of Circuit Avenue Extension and Seaview Avenue Extension in Oak Bluffs, MA in accordance with documents prepared by Waterfield Design Group, Inc., dated February 24, 2023. The Project consists of: Concrete sidewalks, bituminous concrete roadway paving, curbing, drainage, grading, site furnishings, lighting, and landscaping. The work is estimated to cost: $1,250,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30, §39m and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 and publicly opened forthwith and read aloud. Bids received after 2:00PM will not be considered. All Bids shall be delivered to: Town of Oak Bluffs, 56 School Street, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557 and received no later than the date and time specified above. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, and made payable to the Town of Oak Bluffs. Bid documents will be available on March 15, 2023. Electronic copies of the bid documents and project manual will be available upon request. No plan deposit is required. Hard copies will not be available and all printing costs will be the responsibility of the bidder. Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131, Section 40, the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, and the Oak Bluffs Wetlands Bylaw, the Oak Bluffs Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing for a Notice of Intent filed by NStar Electric Company Group d/b/a Eversource Energy on the behalf of the Epsilon Associates for the installation of a buried submarine cable approximately 6.24 miles across Vineyard Sound, 1.55 miles of which is within the waters of the Town of Oak Bluffs. Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) and hydroplow operations will be used for cable installation. Approximately 0.25 miles of a duct and manhole system will be installed in Eastville Avenue in Oak Bluffs to connect to an Eversource owned parcel on Eastville Avenue. Eight pad-mounted transformers will be installed on this currently underdeveloped parcel to connect the submarine cable to the electrical grid in Oak Bluffs. This is within the buffer zone to the 100-year flood zone and several other resource areas, 0 Eastville Ave, Oak Bluffs, Map 4 Parcel 147.1, 147.2, 147.3, 147.4, 147.5, 147.6 and M4 P 151 This hearing will take place on Thursday April 6, 2023, at 3:30PM. Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131, Section 40, the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, and the Oak Bluffs Wetlands Bylaw, the Oak Bluffs Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing for a Request for Determination of Applicability filed by William Giniewicz to remove the existing cement driveway to be replaced with native gravel within the 100 year flood zone at 47 East Chop Drive, Oak Bluffs, Map 3 Parcel 1. This hearing will take place on Thursday April 6, 2023 at 3:30PM. The hearing will be held at the Oak Bluffs Town Hall Conference Room, 56 School Street, Oak Bluffs.
