UP ISLAND REGIONAL SCHOOL

The Up-Island Regional School District, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Chilmark School Window Replacement Project located at 8 State Rd in Chilmark, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the Up-Island Regional School District Business Office. The Project consists of: Replacement of 33 old existing windows with new Andersen “A Series” insulated double-hung windows complete with new hardware, exterior trim, flashing, etc. to match existing windows previously installed in previous Phase 1 work. This is a Proprietary Specification to match windows provided under Phase 1. Covid 19 rules and regulations in place by State and Local authorities must be followed. Due to in school sessions, work hours are as follows: Monday through Friday, 3:00PM until 10:00PM. Sat 7:30AM until 4:00PM total of 8 hours only. Overtime will not be automatically granted. Request for overtime must be approved in advance. No pre-activity at all prior to 3:00 PM. No workers allowed to unload, deliver, set up, etc., until 3:00 PM. All workers must be CORI Checked prior to gaining access to site. No work on Sundays or Holidays The work is estimated to cost $136,000.00 Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive. DCAMM Certificate not required for projects estimated less than $150,000.00 DCAMM Certification Requirements: For projects with an estimated construction cost of over $150,000, by MGL, General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), according to Article 2.1 in Section 00.21.13 Instructions to Bidders, in the following category of work, General Building Construction.
