Daytripper, commuter, weekender, summer kid, year-rounder, washashore, Islander: the moniker doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you take a plane to the Vineyard, or if you come via your own boat or one of the other passenger ferries that makes the trip. The Steamship Authority ferries are the keystone in the metaphorical bridge to America.
