Fred Natusch is Honored

Vineyard resident Fred Natusch, a veteran lineworker at Nstar, recently received the company’s Champion for the Customer award for outstanding dedication on the job.
In a release, the electric utility stated Mr. Natusch is known by coworkers and customers alike for his strong work ethic and caring response to customer calls.
According to the company, Mr. Natusch recently exhibited this commitment when he responded to a call about a power outage at a home in Edgartown. When he arrived, there was nobody home. After determining the problem was actually with the customer’s equipment, he got in touch with the home’s caretaker to explain the situation. Later the same day, Mr. Matusch called again to check on the status and explain that he would restore power to the home as soon as the customer’s electrician made the necessary repairs.
The customer subsequently wrote the company: “I think he is a great example of the kind of employee every company should have.”
The utility launched the Champion for the Customer Award program in 2007 to recognize outstanding employee accomplishments.
