The South Mountain Company in West Tisbury has tied for 10th place on a list of best adoption-friendly workplaces in America, which was released Thursday, May 1.

South Mountain ranked high on the list because of the generous benefits it provides for employees: $10,000 and up to four weeks paid leave per adoption. The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption compiled and released the list.

For the second year in a row, South Mountain also ranked at the top of the list in its industry (architecture, engineering and construction) and among small businesses nationwide (those with one to 100 employees.)
