Student Honored

Elizabeth Edwards, a member of the class of 2008 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., earned academic recognition at the college this spring. She is the daughter of John and Mary Edwards of Edgartown.

Ms. Edwards earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude with honor in international affairs in May. In addition, she was elected to membership in two honor societies: the college’s Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society that recognizes superior achievement in the liberal arts, and to Sigma Delta Pi, the national honor society in Spanish. She also earned high honors for the spring semester.
