Saturday, June 6: Overcast breezy morning. A catboat tries to beat the current in Edgartown harbor. Overhead, clouds start to break. The wind lightens in the afternoon. Light breeze in afternoon. Blue skies in the late afternoon.

Sunday, June 7: Late night fog. Deer stand at the edge of the State Forest in Edgartown at 4 a.m. Skies clear in the morning. Visibility is almost unlimited on hills of Aquinnah. Lobsterville is lush with vegetation. Bicyclists climb the Lighthouse Road. Perfect, blue skies, clear. Clouds increase in the late afternoon.

Monday, June 8: Partly sunny skies. Clouds increase in the afternoon. Drizzle late in the day.

Tuesday, June 9: Cloudy often rainy morning. Squall line passes over the Vineyard after lunch. Showers. Skies lighten in the late afternoon. A large cruise ship arrives in the early evening in Vineyard Haven harbor.

Wednesday, June 10: Menemsha dragger fleet returns from a morning of fishing. Overcast gray skies. Brief periods of sunshine down-Island. Overcast Up-Island. Schooner Alabama has a late afternoon sail off East and West Chop. The schooner moves in slow motion across the Sound.

Thursday, June 11: Skies darken in the morning. Lightning and thunder. Heavy shower coincides with the morning commute. Storm drains at Five Corners are overwhelmed in Vineyard Haven. The road becomes a pond for a short time. Rain abates in an hour. Fog crosses Nantucket Sound like a curtain. Drizzle.
