Victoria Danberg and her husband Dr. John Ficcarelli entertained members of the fifth graduating class of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School on Saturday evening at their lovely waterfront home in Katama. Vicki and John were very gracious hosts for one and all. We enjoyed an evening of catching up with each other, discussing our aches and pains, retirement plans, family homes, travel, the youngest ones in our class, nursery mates at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, children and grandchildren. We never solved any of these issues upon our graduation and are still trying to figure them out at the present time. Those in attendance included James Beckman, Victoria Danberg, Shirley (Medeiros) Donaroma, David Drew, Kathy (Luce) Duys, Corrine (Averill) Hatt, Eleanor (Francis) Hebert, Carol Magee, Pam (Brown) Martisauskas, Christopher Murphy and his wife Barbara (Thomas) Murphy, Faith West, and yours truly. A special invited guest and neighbor to many was Pam Murphy, formerly of Franklin street in Tisbury. As a matter of fact, we have all given you special assignments for the reunion and your marching orders will soon arrive in the mail. We will share with you a glance at our group photograph.

Producer Gary Foster, his wife Lisa and their daughters Daryn and Kayla have arrived at their East Pasture home for the season. Gary is still glowing with the success of his film The Soloist. Lisa is still busy with her business One Bag at a Time. Daryn and Kayla are completing their studies for the year.

Darrius Lewis, 13-year-old grandson of Ted and Kristina Leslie, arrived from Philadelphia this past week to spend the summer at their Aquinnah home.

Congratulations and all the best to Marcie Nichols who retired from the Tisbury School on Friday after 33 years as an educator and followed in the footsteps of her late parents. Marcie and her husband Kevan have already planned on some upcoming travel and we will look forward to their local trips to Aquinnah and visits with their daughter Melissa Mahoney, her husband James and their daughter Aileen.
