Readers take heed: again this year, bargain hunters will be rewarded with a wide selection of gently used books at the Library Friends of Oak Bluffs’ annual summer book sale, some priced as low as three for a dollar. There will be pocket-sized paperbacks, larger softcover books, hardcovers and large print. There will be novels, mysteries, biographies, history, sports, self-help, gardening, cooking, maritime, hobby and more. Martha’s Vineyard books and authors will be for sale, as will books for children and teens, plus videos, DVDs and audio books.
The Friends’ cookbook, Tastes of Cottage City from Near and Far, also will be available.
With over 250 recipes, including 20 pages of ethnic recipes from our Island, it makes a great souvenir or Vineyard gift.
It’s at the Methodist Parish House in the Camp Ground in Oak Bluffs Friday, July 17, noon to 4 p.m.; Saturday, July 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, July 19, noon to 2 p.m.
All proceeds help support the Oak Bluffs Public Library’s programs, services and collections.
