On Friday, July 31, Wyatt Jenkinson will receive Mass Audubon’s James K. Whittemore Young Naturalist Award. The award is given to youths for excellence in environmental stewardship.

Wyatt was nominated by the staff at Mass Audubon’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, where he has attended summer camp for many years.

“Wyatt is an Island outdoorsman and truly feels at home in nature. His smile and optimism can really brighten up a room. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he is a good role model for other campers,” said Felix Neck’s camp director Justen Walker.

“We’re looking forward to having him back again this summer.”
