Donald G. Ogilvie has joined the governing board of the Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard. Mr. Ogilvie is the independent chairman of the Deloitte Center for Banking Solutions, chairman of ABA International and executive-in-residence as well as a member of the faculty of the Yale School of Management.

“We are very excited to have Don joining us,” said Debbie Hale, chair of the Permanent Endowment fund board. “He brings a wealth of experience in finance and education to our active, volunteer board as well as new ideas, an awareness of the needs of this community and a love for the Vineyard.”

Mr. Ogilvie has served as president and chief executive officer of the American Bankers Association; as the executive vice president of the International Monetary Conference, where he continues to work as a consultant; as a vice president of Celanese Corp.; and in the Office of Management and Budget in the Executive Office of the President during the Ford administration.

A graduate of Yale University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Mr. Ogilvie was a founding associate dean of the Yale School of Management. He lives in West Tisbury with his wife Fan, the current poet laureate of West Tisbury.
