Please Adopt Us

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is overflowing with nice animals this week. This is what usually happens at the end of the summer — it’s sad, so won’t you please stop by and adopt a beautiful cat, or a Guinea pig (we have two: Olivia and Daisy, both long-haired female, tricolored animals).

The cats are: Cato, all black and declawed all around, so he should be an indoor cat (he’s really a love); Itty Bitty, a gentle Balinese female; Cyrus, a big black male; Harry, all black, very gentle and a great lap cat; Belle, a brindle calico female; Nutmeg, a female gray and white; and our two black kittens, who will be spayed this week (they have really come out of their shells and with some TLC will make wonderful house cats); Scrunchy, a female tortoiseshell; Phoebe, an all-gray female; and Chloe, a gray and white female. All the cats are neutered or spayed and all are up to date on shots.

We still have a wish list of cleaning supplies, so please call the shelter at 508-627-8662 to find out what the needs are. The shelter is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
