Mental Illness Support
A free Vineyard support group open to anyone with a close relative, spouse or significant other suffering from a mental illness — such as bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder or anxiety disorder — is being sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Massachusetts.
The group will be conducted by two volunteer family members who have been trained as support group facilitators. It is intended to help people cope with the anguish, stress and confusion often generated by relationships with someone with mental illness.
Meetings will normally be held the first Sunday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Daybreak Clubhouse, 457B State Road (at the far end of the lower level of Woodland Center, 455 State Road). The next meeting will be Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010.
