The following student achievement announcements were received by the Gazette.

Cape Cod Community College students Martha Abbot of Oak Bluffs and Melissa Boyce of Vineyard Haven were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society of associate degree-granting colleges.

Max Currier of West Tisbury was named to the dean’s honors list for the 2009 fall semester at Connecticut College, and Benjamin Hopkins of Vineyard Haven was named to the dean’s high honors list for the 2009 fall semester at Connecticut College.

Eric Usher McCarthy of Edgartown graduated from the University of Connecticut in the fall of 2009.

Taylor Pierce of Edgartown has been named to the dean’s list at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.
