Calling kids aged 8 to 18 who can sing and/or act: it’s audition time for the Imp production of Bittersweet, a musical that includes many singing some non-singing roles. Bittersweet is written by Ross Mihalko and Donna Swift, with lyrics by Ross Mihalko and music by Brian Weiland — the creators of Bears Beware, Goldilocks Is in Your Town; Waking Beauty; Bluebeard; and The Tall Tale Trilogy.

Auditions are Tuesday, March 23, and Wednesday, March 24, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Edgartown School instrumental room or by appointment before March 28 — e-mail imp4kids@gmail.com.

Rehearsals will begin March 28. Depending on the role, most cast members will rehearse two or three times per week including some Sundays. As the show dates approach (May 21 to 23 at Katharine Cornell Theatre), additional rehearsals will be needed. Everyone receives a rehearsal calendar before we begin.
