How lucky have we been these past couple of weeks? The sun has been shining and everyone is in a great mood. The cherry trees are in their glory, and all the trees are budding. It is supposed to get cold again but let’s hope it will only be a couple of days.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Peter Vincent, who celebrated his day April 1; Matthew Strem, Jordan Tate-Da Silva, Joshua Tate-Da Silva and Kasey Varkonda, who all celebrated their day April 2; Gregory Pyden and Hailey Rogers, April 7; Cana Courtney and Jamie Rivard, April 8; Mariah Donahue, April 9; David Macias, April 10; Joshua Willoughby, April 13; Daniel Costello, Juan Sanchez Roa and Thomas Weston III, April 14; Elon Binder and Paulo Pereira Jr., April 15; and to Jonathan Davenport and Brant Maynard, who celebrated their day today, April 16.

Special wishes go out to Jim Kresel, who celebrated his day March 30.

Debbie Norton and her husband, Bill Snyder, of Essex Junction, Vt., were here last week to visit their parents and in laws, Floyd and Jan Norton.

I am hearing of all the people that are going south to visit Mickey and Minnie, and I can’t wait to hear all the reports.

The ping sound is back at the baseball field. It is so nice to hear all the kids playing baseball and all their fans cheering them on. People are walking more frequently down to the park, and there are lots of mothers entertaining their children at the playground.

Georgia DeRoche is proud to announce the birth of her baby sister, Mabel Jeanne DeRoche, on April 10. Mabel’s parents are Joel DeRoche and Joanne Cassidy DeRoche. Congratulations to all of you!!

Zack Waller was home for Easter vacation. I know he is my neighbor and I always mention him, but he is always so busy! He just returned home after spending most of his semester in Germany. He posted many pictures on Facebook and they were beautiful. He had a great time and learned a lot about their culture. I can’t wait to see where he goes next.

Have a great week, and keep the home candles burning.
