Health Plan Options
Massachusetts residents with health insurance through the Commonwealth Care health insurance program can change their health plan for any reason between June 3 and June 22, according to Network Health, one of five local health plans with a Commonwealth Care product. Any health plan changes become effective July 1, 2010.
Commonwealth Care extends to Massachusetts residents 19 years or older who earn at or below 300 per cent of the federal poverty level, which is up to approximately $32,496 a year for an individual or up to approximately $66,156 a year for a family of four, and do not have access to subsidized health insurance, including employee-sponsored health insurance. The Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority determines Commonwealth Care eligibility.
