Memory Screenings

Memory screenings will be offered on Friday, June 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Edgartown Council on Aging at 10 Daggett street in Edgartown. There is no charge.

These free screenings entail a brief cognitive test for people who do not have a prior diagnosis of dementia. The goal is to identify people with potential problems who may need more extensive evaluation.

Offered by Alzheimer’s Services, these memory screenings may lead to earlier diagnosis of dementia or give you a baseline for future comparison. Secondary goals include education and reassurance of adults with mild age-associated changes in their memory, who may worry that they have a dementia. Please call 508-775-5656 or e-mail info@alzcapecod.org to sign up or for more information.
