Little Libraries

Dock Street Coffee Shop, Harborside Inn, Harbor View Hotel, Kelley House, Newes from America, Martha’s Vineyard Clarion, Lattanzi’s Restaurant, Anchors (Edgartown Council on Aging) and Martha’s Vineyard Airport are among those places where mini-libraries have sprung up since December 2009. That’s when the trustees and Friends of the Edgartown Free Public Library came up with the innovative idea of providing fiction, nonfiction and children’s books to Edgartown restaurants, hotels, or related establishments. The books may be taken complimentary by customers, as the Edgartown Library does not have room to store excess books.

Any Vineyarders or others who have books, in very good condition, and wish to donate to a mini-library may contact the library at 508-627-4221.
