Beginning in July, in addition to the traditional Sunday worship service at the Trinity Worship Center in Oak Bluffs, the United Methodist Church of Martha’s Vineyard will hold worship services at their Edgartown and Vineyard Haven locations.

In Edgartown, at the Old Whaling Church in the Baylies Room, the service will include study of Jesus’s parables through alternative versions and translations, commentaries by Wesley and others and versions of the stories in the arts. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 8:15 a.m. and will be available throughout the service. The service begins at 8:30 a.m. A guided tour of the church with Island historian Elizabeth Villard will follow the service.

At the Christ Mission Life Center, also known as the Stone Church in Vineyard Haven, there will be an organ epilogue prayer service, including prayer requests and liturgical readings at 8:30 a.m.

The Sunday services will begin Sunday, July 4 and be held throughout August. The traditional service at the Trinity Worship Center in Oak Bluffs, across from the Tabernacle, will move to a new time at 11 a.m. All are welcome. For further information, please call the church office at 508-693-4424.
