Regis College head tennis coach John Ciarleglio recently announced that Teanna Montoya of Edgartown plans to play for the women’s tennis team this fall.

Previously a player on the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School varsity team (in the first doubles position since her freshman year), Ms. Montoya has been playing the sport since she was 12 years old, and competed in tournaments for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club and Vineyard Youth Tennis Center.

She has continued to develop her skills to create a powerful two-handed backhand and a consistent topspin serve.

Regis College sponsors 17 varsity NCAA Division III sports, and competes in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
