Billionaire’s Book Club

Written in Water, Messages of Hope for Earth’s Most Precious Resource, is now on J.P. Morgan’s summer top ten reading list in the Billionaires’ Book Club. Written in Water was launched earlier this year by National Geographic and World Waterway on the island of Martha’s Vineyard with a water weekend that featured a host of speakers and a performance by renowned Native American flutist, R. Carlos Nakai.

Each year, J.P. Morgan takes a global poll of its bankers and investors to create a list of 450 favorite books. A special committee then whittles it down to the top ten. Written in Water was selected as one of the top ten books out of the 450 titles.

Written in Water is published by National Geographic, edited by Irena Salina (director of FLOW) and includes authors such as Alexandra Cousteau (Blue Legacy); Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Frank Clifford; Peter Gleick of the Pacific Institute; Maude Barlow, renowned water activist/author; Marion Stoddart; Lynne Cherry, children’s book author; Ellsworth Havens, and William Waterway Marks, publisher of Water Voices from around the World.
