Jackopierce

High-energy acoustic harmony duo Jackopierce is appearing Saturday, August 14 at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown. You can bank on hearing their song about the Island, titled Vineyard.

Jackopierce is Jack O’Neil and Cary Pierce. The duo started at Southern Methodist University in 1988 before, as they tell the story, they toured 44 states, and 10 countries on three continents for 10 years but broke up in 1998. They’ve sold over 500,000 copies of their 10 albums (two for A& M Records). They reunited in 2002 and continue to tour. This will be their first show on the Vineyard — where Cary’s uncle, Ed Pierce, lives in West Tisbury — since the mid 90s.

Doors open at 7 for the show at 8 p.m. Tickets available exclusively at jackopierce.bigcartel.com/category/tickets.
