Please Adopt Us

Two of our beautiful adult cats were adopted last week, but there are still more at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard who would make special pets for anyone. They are: Banjo, Cleo, Miss Misty, Cyrus, Gracie, Dolly, Binx and Phoebe.

Our two dogs are Katama, a boxer cross, and Ozzie, a small Mini-Pin cross.

The shelter also still has the beautiful silver and black, bob-tailed stray from West Tisbury; he is very vocal, telling us that his owners are out there somewhere looking for him. If you have lost a cat fitting this description, please call the shelter at 508-627-8662. If no one claims him soon, we will have him neutered and put up for adoption.

The hurricane preparedness list will be coming soon. Shelter hours are Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday; please do not drop off an animal at the door. If you find a stray, call the Island communications center at 508-693-1212.

Thanks to all who have donated money and supplies to the shelter. Your kindness is appreciated.
