Island Alpaca won big at the Big E, (Eastern States Exposition) in West Springfield, Mass.

Competing among nearly 50 other alpaca farms and over 200 alpaca, Island Alpaca took home four blue ribbons and a color championship.

Island Alpaca Lunette took the color champion placement for browns as well as first place in the class-category of bred and owned.

Lunette is accepting congratulations at the farm which is located at 1 Head of the Pond Road in Oak Bluffs. Word has it Lunette has not let success go to her head. No spitting and just a wee bit of warking (noises made when alpacas are excited). But can you blame her? You win gold, you deserve a bit of warking.

The farm is open every day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you can’t make it to the farm, check out the furry gang at islandalpaca.com.
