The Aquinnah Christmas party was enjoyed by one and all in attendance on Dec. 16. Thank you to the Aquinnah Fire Department and to Santa‘s elves Betty Joslow and Jean Lince for their guidance and culinary delights and to Nancy Leport, Nonie Madison, Theresa Manning, Dan Sauer, Jay Smalley and Alexandra Taylor. A very special thank you to Matthew Tobin of Tea Lane Nursery for his donation once again of the Christmas tree for the Town of Aquinnah. The evening was a very enjoyable time for one and all, reminiscent of our gatherings of years ago with many generations of families present and the descendants of those who had gathered many years ago. The children made tree ornaments while waiting for Santa to arrive. The food was delicious, the fellowship wonderful and the photographs of the children with Santa — priceless.

Her services were held in New Bedford on Wednesday.

A very Merry Christmas to one and all as you gather with your families and friends during this holiday season. Prayers for our service men and women overseas at this time of year and for their families at home. The Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living has had a wonderful first full year with the Great Awakening Campaign and the recognition of the new name and the services performed for those 55-plus. May we find lots of checks under our Christmas tree to carry on with our great work and to look forward to a permanent home for the Supportive Day Program. Thank you to all who have supported our efforts over the past year.
